Project: “First Steps Sole for LANG.S”
Requirements: Develop a barefoot sole for children’s footwear with a simple, flexible and affordable construction.
The main goal was to create a very thin sole with natural rubber, soft touch, high flexibility and lightweight performance, following the barefoot philosophy.
The sole needed to support natural foot movement, have a wide shape feeling, non-slip grip, stitch & turn construction compatibility, and a clean design that could easily match the upper concept and production requirements.
Even though it looks like a simple sole, this project required detailed technical development to balance comfort, flexibility, durability and production efficiency. Every line of the outsole was carefully designed to improve movement, softness and manufacturing feasibility.
